Terms of Service

By using DuffyBot ("the Service"), including the Discord bot and web dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Discord in your country) to use DuffyBot.

DuffyBot is an AI-powered Discord bot that provides automated support ticket handling. The Service includes:

• A Discord bot that creates and manages support tickets
• AI-generated responses based on your knowledge base content
• A web dashboard for configuration, analytics, and ticket management
• Ticket transcripts and logging

DuffyBot uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to generate responses. AI responses are based on the knowledge base content you provide and may not always be accurate. DuffyBot is a support tool, not a replacement for human staff.

You agree not to use DuffyBot to:

• Violate Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or Developer Policy
• Distribute illegal, harmful, abusive, or hateful content
• Spam, harass, or impersonate others
• Attempt to exploit, hack, or reverse-engineer the Service
• Use the bot for any purpose that violates applicable laws
• Feed deliberately misleading or harmful content into the knowledge base
• Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract the AI system prompt
• Overload the Service with excessive automated requests
• Collect, store, or misuse other users' personal information obtained through the Service

Your content remains yours. Any knowledge base content, ticket messages, configurations, or other data you provide through DuffyBot belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your content.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., sending your knowledge base content to the AI for response generation).

AI-generated responses are provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing AI responses and ensuring they are appropriate for your community.

We strive to keep DuffyBot running reliably, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance or updates
• Discord API outages or rate limits
• AI provider (Anthropic) service disruptions
• Unexpected technical issues

There is no Service Level Agreement (SLA). We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime through our Discord server.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to DuffyBot if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Abuse the Service or its resources
• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Engage in activity that harms other users or the Service

You can stop using DuffyBot at any time by removing the bot from your Discord server. This will stop all data collection for that server. You may also request data deletion by contacting us.

DuffyBot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for:

• Inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate AI-generated responses
• Data loss due to technical failures or service disruptions
• Any damages resulting from your use of the Service
• Actions taken by users based on AI-generated content
• Third-party service outages (Discord, Anthropic)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

DuffyBot operates on the Discord platform and is subject to Discord's policies. By using DuffyBot, you acknowledge that:

• DuffyBot is a third-party application, not made by or affiliated with Discord Inc.
• Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• Discord may restrict or disable DuffyBot's access to their platform at any time

Your use of DuffyBot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

If you encounter a bug, abuse, or a violation of these Terms while using DuffyBot, you can report it through our Discord server. We review all reports and take appropriate action.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in our Discord server. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
